We wanted to find and showcase Cape Town’s diverse electronic music scene. Hours were spent researching until a detailed database of events, artists and cultural elements became our Guide. We realised we couldn’t be the only people that would value this database, and at that moment, Sound Guide was born.

Now, in its true form, Sound Guide is so much more than just this database. It is the pursuit of a vision we are both passionate about and deeply connected to: The development of Cape Town as a world hub for electronic music. This is something we are proud of. This is something you are part of.

To achieve our vision, we are on a four-part mission: Create an electronic music culture that sees value in diversity, promotes inclusivity, and is easily accessible to all. That provides a platform for local artists to thrive, both on home soil and abroad, while attracting the world and its most established names to our shores.
